This video is part of a series of videos on the DREAMM studies.
In this discussion, the panel compares the DREAMM-7 and DREAMM-8 trials for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, evaluating how belantamab mafodotin combinations fit into clinical practice and how to sequence therapy based on prior lenalidomide and anti-CD38 exposure.
The panel features Dr. Saad Usmani, chief of myeloma service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, along with panelists Dr. Meletios A. Dimopoulos, professor and chairman of the department of clinical therapeutics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Dr. Hans Lee, director of myeloma research at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, and Dr. Ajay Nooka, clinical member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
“…these are … complementary regimens that could be given to suitable patients,” Dr. Dimopoulos said, explaining how DREAMM-7 fits patients progressing on lenalidomide without prior anti-CD38 exposure, while belantamab mafodotin combined with pomalidomide and dexamethasone suits those resistant to both lenalidomide and anti-CD38.
