Recorded at the 66th American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and Exposition, Yuan Yao, MD, MS, discusses the ASH abstract (No.397) titled, “Prevalence, genetic predispositions and clinical consequences of non-CLL-type MBL: screening in 10,330 individuals.”
Dr. Yao, who is a first-year hematology oncology fellow and first author on the abstract, provides an overview on the study in this video. In the study, the investigators evaluated the etiology and clinical outcomes of non-CLL-type monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL), which they write is an “understudied yet common condition that occurs in [approximately] 4 million adults in the United States.”
