From EHA 2026, Dr. Komrokji shares the latest research in MDS, and his thoughts on what is next in the field. He is an associate editor on SOHO Insider and the vice chair of the Malignant Hematology Department at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
“In addition to the erythroid-stimulating agents, luspatercept has become the standard of care in many of the patients in the upfront setting. We have some upcoming data with a newer EMA, or erythroid-maturing agent, elritercept. There are ongoing two trials that are new after ESA failure, and the L-RISE, that would be randomization against ESA. So that’s another exciting development or trial to enroll patients on.”
