In this video from the SOHO 2026 annual meeting, Guillermo Garcia Manero, MD, editor-in-chief of SOHO Insider, speaks on the standout scientific sessions at SOHO 2026.
Among the presentations he highlighted was a talk from Tim Grobber, MD, of Harvard Medical School, examining the role of philanthropy in supporting research, including efforts from the Dale and Edwards Foundation.
Dr. Garcia-Manero also pointed to the meeting’s early-morning Meet the Professor sessions, which gave attendees an opportunity to interact with experts in a smaller setting.
“We had multiple MTPs, again in MDS and AML, really fantastic small-room environment to really have access to the latest knowledge in these diseases,” he said.
Beyond the scientific and educational programming, Dr. Garcia-Manero reflected on the opportunity to recognize leaders in the field. He described it as a “great honor” to introduce Alan List, MD, and Neil Young, MD, two prominent investigators whose contributions to the field were recognized during the meeting.
