Giselle Kidson-Gerber, FRACP, FRCPA, a hematologist and clinical researcher at Prince of Wales Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney, discusses the paper on the topic published in The Lancet Haematology on providing guidelines for pregnant patients diagnosed with blood cancers.
In the video, she stressed the need for more data on emerging drugs and fertility options, pointing out that trials often exclude pregnant women.
“We need more research in emerging drugs and whether they can be used in pregnancy and lactations,” she said.
