Andrew Kuykendall, MD, an associate member from Moffitt Cancer Center, discusses updated data from the phase 2 RALLY-MF trial. The trial evaluated DISC-0974 in patients with myelofibrosis and anemia. DISC-0974 is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody designed to block hemojuvelin.
The results showed an overall response rate of 70%, which remained consistent regardless of whether patients were also receiving a concurrent JAK inhibitor. Response rates across anemia severity groups reached 54% for non-transfusion-dependent participants, 67% for those with low transfusion requirements, and 50% for those with high transfusion requirements. Additionally, DISC-0974 demonstrated a favorable safety profile with zero serious adverse events reported.
