In this multiple myeloma roundtable from EHA 2026, the panel discusses the clinical implications of recent trial findings in early relapse multiple myeloma, highlighting subanalyses from the phase 3 MajesTEC-3 trial and newly presented data from the MonumenTAL-3 trial.
The panel was moderated by Paul G. Richardson, MD, clinical director of the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, who speaks with Meletios A. Dimopoulos, MD, professor and chairman of the department of clinical therapeutics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Rahul Banerjee, MD, FACP, assistant professor in the clinical research division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and Prof. Katja Weisel, deputy head of oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplantation at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
The panel also discussed the success of combining teclistamab and daratumumab for functional high-risk patients who historically experience poor outcomes.
They also addressed the Monumental-3 trial evaluating talquetamab-based regimens, comparing the side-effect challenges of adding pomalidomide against the potential quality-of-life advantages of combining these therapies with next-generation CELMoDs like mezigdomide or iberdomide.
