In this multiple myeloma roundtable from EHA 2026, the panel discusses the integration of novel CELMoDs and cellular immunotherapies in patients with multiple myeloma.
The discussion focuses on how ibertamide and mezigdomide can be combined with CAR T-cell therapies, bispecific antibodies, and antibody-drug conjugates .
The panel was moderated by Paul G. Richardson, MD, clinical director of the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, who speaks with Meletios A. Dimopoulos, MD, professor and chairman of the department of clinical therapeutics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Rahul Banerjee, MD, FACP, assistant professor in the clinical research division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and Prof. Katja Weisel, deputy head of oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplantation at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
The panel also discussed the therapeutic potential of these combinations.
Dr. Banerjee highlighted the role of CELMoDs in post-CAR T care, noting that “if you find a drug that’s well-tolerated, like a cell mod, that may be what you need to keep those patients in remission.”
Addressing antibody-drug conjugate pairings, Prof. Weisel explained that adding an anti-BCMA agent “leads to very rapid and very… very deep remissions.”
