Myeloma Action Month matters more than ever with so many new therapies available to patients, according to Jodi Lipof, MD, a hematologic oncologist at the University of California, San Francisco.
“We have so many new therapies that have been approved in the last several years that are really exciting for patients,” Dr. Lipof said in a video interview with SOHO Insider.
“We are improving survival for patients [and their] quality of life as we are coming out with newer therapies and learning how to best deliver these therapies to patients.”
Myeloma Action Month is recognized annually in March to inform and empower individuals affected by myeloma, according to the International Myeloma Society.
